The pack is free, and so is every update after it. If you'd like to help with the server bill, there's a Patreon.

To send a crash report from the launcher you sign in with the Steam account that owns the game, and the report carries that account's number and name. The terms list everything a report holds.

02 // Installing it

Six steps

01

Press Download

The button above gets you ODG-Ops.zip, which comes to about 66 MB, and that's the one file you need.

02

Show it in the folder

In Chrome or Edge, click the arrow next to the download and pick Show in folder, and in Firefox it's called Open Containing Folder. You want the file sitting in File Explorer.

03

Right-click it and pick Extract All

Right-click ODG-Ops.zip, pick Extract All and then Extract. Your desktop or your Downloads folder is fine for this, as long as it's somewhere outside the game folder.

04

Open the new folder and run ODG Ops

Extracting makes a new folder next to the zip. Go into it and run ODG Ops, which installs the mod loader and everything that goes with it, so you won't have to unzip anything else.

05

Let it run

The first run downloads several gigabytes, so leave it alone until the line at the top reads UP TO DATE and then press LAUNCH. The campaign is in the Ops Menu at the mission laptop, and our other operations are on the Cerberus laptop under DUKE'S OPS.

06

Playing with somebody?

You both need the same pack version, and the launcher shows yours at the top. Let it finish updating before you host.

03 // Don't

Six ways to break it

Every one of these has happened to somebody, and each one makes the pack look broken when it's actually fine.

01

Running it from inside the zip

Double-clicking a zip opens it like a folder, and ODG Ops sits right there looking ready to go. Run it from in there and it can't write anything, so nothing installs. Extract it first and run it from the folder that appears.

02

Unzipping it into the game folder

Put it on the desktop or in your downloads, anywhere except the game folder. The launcher writes into the game folder as part of its job, and keeping its own files in there tangles the two together.

03

Unzipping the MelonLoader zip

melonloader.zip is on the release page because ODG Ops downloads it for you. With two copies of the loader in the game folder the game stops starting at all, so unzip ODG-Ops.zip and leave the rest alone.

04

Taking the files one at a time

ODG-Ops.zip is the whole thing, and every other file on the release page is there because ODG Ops goes and fetches it. Grab one of them on its own and you get that one file with nothing around it.

05

Turning your page file off

Windows still needs a page file, however much RAM you've got. With it switched off, the game runs out of memory while it loads the menu and dies on startup about half the time, and that looks exactly like a broken mod. Leave it on system managed.

06

Moving the game afterwards

The launcher asks for your OPERATOR folder once and remembers it. If you move the game or rename that folder later, the launcher is left pointing at a place that's no longer there.

04 // Trouble

Open the launcher, go to REPORT and press SEND REPORT, and it packs up every log we need and gives you a ticket number to quote. If the launcher won't open at all, ask on our Discord.
